This role serves RDH’s Lower Mainland projects, with participation in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) corporately as needed. We anticipate 40-50% of this person’s time will be spent on site in a Safety Officer/First Aid Attendant capacity and covering days off for RDH’s Site Supervisors on our Construction Management projects.Please visit: https://www.rdh.com/opportunity/safety-officer-in-burnaby-bc/ for a full job description.QUALIFICATIONS:5 years experience as a First Aid Attendant and Construction Safety Officer or equivalent.10 years of construction industry experience preferred, preferably with experience on larger-scale projects with multiple sub-trades.Current OFA Level 2 certification or equivalent recognized training.Current NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) designation or equivalent recognized certification.Knowledge of BC OHS legislation, relevant codes, standards, and construction industry best practices, with emphasis on working at heights and fall protection, confined space safety, and hazardous materials exposure control.Experience with and ability to deliver and oversee training.Experience conducting safety observations, inspections, audits, incident investigations, and implementing corrective and preventive action plans.ABOUT US:RDH is an employee-owned consulting firm with 250+ employees in nine offices across North America.
