Job Description

As the Public Relations and Content Specialist you are responsible for supplying public relations and content support to clients and the AdFarm Public Relations & Content Team. The PR Specialist will work within a multidisciplinary team of agency professionals sharing a goal of successfully achieving client satisfaction, business unit profitability, team functionality and performance.Accountabilities include:Tactical implementation of PR & content strategiesMaintaining cutting-edge toolbox for social media writing, editing, and publishingWorking in consultation with the PR Lead/PR & Content Specialists to help develop campaigns Responsibilities/DeliverablesWork with an integrated team of marketing professionals to achieve client communication objectives.Monitor key industry issues and develop, manage and measure PR programs/campaigns that support the continued growth of the account. Build and maintain relationships with key industry media.Deep understanding of various social media platforms and the types of content relevant for each platform.Assist the media and content teams to develop paid social media plan recommendations for assigned clients that meet clients’ campaign goals and target audiences.Participate and provide ideas and support to other AdFarm divisions.Participate in industry events & cultivate relationships with the community and consumers.Research trends and help develop campaigns. Bring energy, determination and drive to AdFarm’s media relations to produce strong result-oriented initiatives.Produce collateral materials, plan/execute events, execute media relations strategies and other tactical implementation as needed.Develop press releases, media lists, presentations and other communications materials.Create, post and manage monthly social media content for a variety of clients. Responsible for the overall successful execution of the PR plan including regular reporting of results, measurement of those results, and make ongoing enhancement/adjustments as required.Assist with writing and editing the company blog and social channels.Other ad-hoc and special projects as requested.Adheres to AdFarm Values in all professional activities. Must-have skills/experience: (2-4 years of experience) Bachelor Degree, focus in Communications or MarketingSocial media content writingBasic knowledge of promoting/boosting social posts to target audienceStrong project management skills, with the ability to manage concurrent projects and deadlinesAbility to create social graphics when requiredTime management and organizationAgency experience an assetAgriculture knowledge a very strong assetWriting and editing in CP styleExperience working in PM tools is an assetBasic knowledge of these platforms, or willing to learn: Canva, Sprout Social, MeltwaterTeam player Who AdFarm is:We help businesses talk to agricultural, agribusiness and rural audiences in a way that makes sense.
