Leasing Account ManagerThe Leasing Account Manager is responsible for the origination of equipment leases by prospecting, developing and servicing equipment vendors and manufacturing relationships. This is a business development role with direct accountability for meeting assigned targets. All interviews will be completed virtually for this opportunity.Key responsibilities of this role are:

• Manages all aspects of assigned and direct sourced industrial clients and prospects located within BlueShore’s trade area of BC, Alberta and Ontario.
• Accountable for the attainment of individual sales and performance measures, including targeted goals for profitable loan growth and maintenance of assigned client relationships
• Accountable to identify and close new sales opportunities with existing clients and generate new sales leads/referrals through proactive relationship management activities, responsive client service and expert-level knowledge and advice on equipment financing solutions
• Develops an annual business plan and marketing strategy to effectively promote and develop leasing product lines and branding
• Approves and underwrites credit within assigned lending limits and makes recommendations for over limit applications; ensures that required reports are received and analyzed and prepares all credit related documentation.
• Promotes and sells value added products/services such as credit insurance.
• Maximized account profitability by following a mutually beneficial pricing approach based on assigned pricing requirements.
• Works with Credit Risk Services as required to enforce security and assist with the sale of repossessed and off lease assets.
• Keeps informed of changes to standards within leasing industry through the Canadian Finance & Leasing Association (CFLA), BC Trucking Association (BCTA), Condominium Home Owners’ Association (CHOA), and other related industry support groups; participates in industry training.
• Although not directly involved with broker sourced business, comprehends the complexity of the Broker-BlueShore Financial management and assignment agreements and respects the exclusivity of the Broker-Lease/Strata Client and the Broker-BlueShore Financial relationships, mindful to afford our brokers the same level of service and respect offered our direct client base.
• While providing exemplary service to brokers and clients, remains mindful of the fiduciary responsibility to BlueShore Financial and its stakeholders, and in strict confidence, immediately escalates to Manager with recommendations for remedies and action, any situation or act by brokers or clients that may have a detrimental financial or reputational impact on BlueShore Financial.
• Understands and watches for the risk indicators with respect to money laundering and fraud, escalates all unusual suspicious activity to Manager for further action.
• Responsible for own sales activity management and follow up, record keeping, and tracking logs.
• Plays an active role in the community to project a positive image for BlueShore Financial and BlueShore Leasing and to generate business opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned with the framework of the position.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in small business or commercial lending, equipment leasing experience preferred
• Demonstrated business development and sales success
• Expert understanding of financial statement analysis, credit process and the ability to identify potential credit and fraud risks
• Degree or diploma in Sales and Business Administration, Accounting or Finance (or a combination of experience and education)
• Expert research skills and knowledge as it pertains to asset quality and valuations
• Solid understanding of the requirements for leasing and equipment use applicable to provincial jurisdiction
• Solid understanding of insurance requirements for leased assets
• Solid understanding of lease documentation and requirements to form a binding contract
