Job Description

Individual should have a wide range of certification from CSO or NCSO, or equivalent who will also have construction knowledge and skills. This position requires working on construction project sites assisting the Superintendent and Skilled Tradespersons while also fulfilling First Aid and Safety requirements. In this role, no day is the same! It’s a fast-paced industry and there is a positive energy in the business.Safety responsibilities include:Daily safety site inspectionsWeekly/monthly reportingProviding site safety orientations for all visitors to siteAttending to any injuries on site and providing appropriate treatmentReporting any injuries, near misses or hazards on siteIncident InvestigationHazard AssessmentOur ideal candidate has the following skills and experience to bring to our team:3 years’ experience on construction sitesFamiliarity with building construction processes and using a variety of hand and power toolsCurrent OFA2 or OFA3 CertificationStrong organizational skillsClear written and verbal communication skillsPositive, can-do attitudeStrong computer skillsNatural willingness to pitch in and do what’s needed to help get the job donePhysical capability to safely perform the work on site (i.e., lifting, carrying, standing, walking, kneeling, etc)Key Attributes:Teamwork: Collaborates and proactively assists and involves othersPassion: Inspired to meet and exceed goals both individually and as a teamRespect: Contributes to a positive working environmentExcellence: Consistently challenges the status quo in the spirit of continuous improvementIntegrity: Accountable and transparent; ethical and fairCommunity Minded: Actively involved in the communities in which we live and workWe thank all applicants for their interest; however only those selected to move forward in the application process will be contacted.
